Yoga with Allyson ("we", "us", "our") is a yoga business based in Jonesborough, Tennessee, USA, run by Allyson Neilson. We offer yoga classes in person and online, including classes for children.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through our website yogawithallyson.com, our online booking system, our email newsletter, our online classes, and our in-person classes (including any paper forms).
We collect only the information we need to run our classes and communicate with you.

Information collected automatically
Website and email activity: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and whether you open or click our emails. This is collected through cookies and similar tools (see "Cookies, analytics and Do Not Track").
Online classes
When you join a live online class (hosted on Zoom or Google Meet), your name, image and voice may be visible to the teacher and other participants if your camera or microphone is on. We record our online classes on speaker view, which shows the teacher. Please keep your microphone muted. If you unmute and speak, your voice and display name, and your video if your camera is on, may be captured in the recording. This applies to adult and children's online classes.
We do not ask for health or medical information, including in our classes focused on calming an anxious mind. If you choose to tell us something personal (for example, in a message or during a class), we use it only to respond to you, we do not record it in your client file, and we do not share it.
We use your information to run our classes and keep in touch with you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
We use it to:
confirm, manage and remind you about bookings
take payments and issue refunds
respond to your questions
send our newsletter, if you have signed up
contact a parent, guardian or emergency contact about a child's class
understand how our website is used so we can improve it
meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations
We share it only with service providers who help us run the business:
| Provider | What they do for us | What they receive |
|---|---|---|
| OfferingTree | Website, class booking and client records | Contact, booking and parent/guardian details |
| Stripe | Payment processing (through OfferingTree) | Name, payment card and billing details |

These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies. They may store it on servers outside Tennessee.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or if the business is sold or transferred.
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep booking working and to measure how the site is used.
Essential cookies let you log in and book classes. The site may not work properly without them.
Analytics (Google Analytics) show us which pages are visited and how people find our site. These tools may collect information about your activity on our site over time.
Email tracking: Kit tells us whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on.
How we respond to Do Not Track signals
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to these signals.
We do not allow third parties to track you across other websites for advertising.
Children's classes are booked and paid for by a parent or guardian, not by the child. Our website and booking system are intended for adults.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website, booking system or newsletter.
A parent or guardian provides the child's details when booking, and we use them only to run the class and contact the parent or guardian.
Children's in-person classes are not recorded. Children's online classes are held on Zoom or Google Meet and are recorded, with the recording set to show only the teacher. A parent or guardian must set up the child's online class session. Children must keep their microphone muted during online classes. If a child unmutes, their voice may be captured in the recording. Children's video, names and chat messages are not included in recordings. We ask that a parent or guardian is nearby during the class.
We do not use children's information for marketing, and we do not add children to our mailing list.
We do not post photos or videos of children online without written permission from a parent or guardian.
We keep children's information only as long as needed for the classes they attend (see "How long we keep information").
If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 without a parent's or guardian's consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Parents and guardians can ask to see, correct or delete their child's information at any time.
We use password-protected accounts with our service providers and limit access to the people who need it to run classes. Paper forms from in-person classes are kept [in a locked cabinet — CONFIRM] and destroyed securely when no longer needed. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.
Booking and contact records: while you are an active client, and for 5 years after your last class. [CONFIRM period]
Payment records: as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Children's information: until the end of the last class term or program they attend, then deleted within [X] months. [CONFIRM period]
Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
You can:
ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
ask us to correct information that is wrong
ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons
unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in every email
